Today, for Family Home Evening we went to a care center. They were SO adorable. I was so happy that I was able to give them some company. I was put in a group that went to the building that had elderly people that couldn't live on their own. To see their faces light up like a child's made my night. Some of them were "there" enough to tell us a little about their family. One little old lady LOVED the heart balloon we brought her. Every time she looked in the balloon and saw her reflection she would giggle and laugh. Next, Gavin and I went into this ladies room that was all snug in bed. She was so excited to see that we brought her some valentine gifts. Even though she was hard to understand, it was blatant and obvious that she was overjoyed to see us. She was by far my favorite. She said three simple words..I LOVE YOU, as she grabbed my hand and held it tight. I sat there for a little bit as she swayed my hand back and forth. Lastly, we visited a tiny old lady from Argentina. She only spoke spanish, but luckily we had two return missionaries, Chad and Gavin who spoke perfect spanish. It was amazing to see them so happy, all of them different, all at different levels. But the simple act of kindness made their day. I cannot wait to work with them over summer <3
